She came to Skilled Solutions with no prior experience in recruitment or administration, drawn in by the flexible hours the role offered around her family life. Two years on, she has grown into a confident member of the recruitment consultant team. We caught up with her to find out how that happened.
Skilled Solutions was founded in 2018 by Dan and Garth, whose combined experience in logistics runs to over two decades, and the business has since become a trusted recruitment partner for major carriers such as Amazon Logistics and DPD, placing drivers in steady work across Essex, London, Kent and West Sussex. Finding flexibility and a fresh start
“The flexible hours worked well with my family life, and since I had no prior experience in recruitment or administration, I felt it would be a great stepping stone to build my skills and gain experience in a professional environment.“

Katherine points to the people as the biggest factor in how much she has enjoyed the role.

Starting with no recruitment background could easily have been a barrier, but Katherine says it became the opposite.
“Working with Skilled Solutions has helped me become much more confident in my admin skills and communication. It has given me the opportunity to learn, gain experience, and grow in confidence in my role every day.”
